I was just thinking(and sometimes that can be very dangerous) lol I do watch alot of crime stories on TV and read a lot of crime books. I mostly like true stories. Well I was watching a crime series that had three people on, all of which claimed to be innocent of their crimes. Well just so happen they had DNA evidence in each of the cases. They tested the DNA evidence One out of three was innocent of the crime.

So was thinking why don't they test everyone that is serving time in Prison that they do have DNA evidence of their particular crime. The Penal system set aside money for this.....With government helping. Now the catch would be, if the DNA showed their innocent then be set free they would get a set amount of money for being falsely accused but could no sue for anymore money and that money would be based on time they spend in prison, and can not sue for any more. Now the people that are found guilty again through DNA and wasted the time of others would get more added to their sentence. People on death row would not be able to have anymore appeals and would start the process of being put to death.

I'm sure there is loop holes in my thinking and any lawyer would find them and use it. That's what they are good at. Also what I think of lawyers if a person is found guilty and DNA says they are guilty then don't appeal. You know the average criminal spends at least 17 years on death row with appeals going, to me if they are guilty and sentenced to die and you as lawyers know they are then why are you trying to get them off and wasting court time???? They say that the death penalty doesn't deter crime. I believe that if it was swiftly done throughout the USA that it would send a message that you don't get along time to wait to die. For people that are against the death penalty, well its there in some states so get over it.

That's my soap box for today. Then again I could be all wrong with my thinking here, but it is only a thought.
