More Pic's

Finally got the pics downloaded from my camera phone. These are pics that I took when Peter's daughter came for a visit. I will add a few at a time. Nothing much has happen since I last posted. Hopefully we will have good weather this year so we can get some yard work done this summer. The weather is warming up a bit but not enough to do anything outside so far.

My mother had a heart attack about 3 weeks ago. She is now home from the hospital and doing fine. The doctor wanted her to have a triple bypass but she has refused to have that surgery. So the Dr. has put her on more pills, so she told me she was now taking about 10 pills a day. My Mom don't like taking pills either so we will see how she does. My brother has really gain my respect during this time he was with her from the beginning and stayed with her a week after she left the hospital. My son and daughter even went to see her. All of them live about 200 miles from where she lives. I wished I could have been there but just couldn't afford it at this time, if she would have had a massive heart attack I would have to gather up as much money as I could and made do to go over. Thank God she is alright now.

Snow pics

These were taken in Feb. 2008. I was very surprised when I woke up and saw all this snow. This is the first time we have had this much snow since I have been living in Ireland. Still pretty but really glad it was one of my days off so I didn't have to drive in it.

Another Washing Machine Has Bit The Dust

When I move to Ireland Peter had this washing machine that you had to beat on the door or front of the machine in order to get it going. Like Fonzy on Happy Days when he hit on the juke box to get it going. Anyway too many beating and the washing machine finally gave up. We went washing machine shopping. At that time really wasn't familiar with the brand names here in Ireland and Peter didn't know too much either. Maybe he did but just didn't say or did say and I didn't listen well anyway, we found this machine that had all the controls that I wanted form a machine, like hand washing a wool setting and a just spin cycle things like that..... It worked fine for the first few years then it started breaking down about 2 years ago. It was still under warrant so had to pay for the service charge which was almost 100.00 euro at the time. He put in a new motor and electrical system pretty much oer haul the whole machine. That work for another 8 months then it started acting up again, once again another service call another 100.00 euros and new motor... Then this week it started smoking while I was doing a load. I turn off the machine and unplugged it because I was afraid it was going to set on fire. When Peter got in form work tried it again and the electric system was completely gone. I am tired of dealing with this washing machine so we are going to day to get another one. I expect a washing machine to at least last 10 years trouble free..... this has only lasted 5 years. The brand I am going to get is Hot point because they seem to be more of a reliable brand that sells over here so people have told me. I brought a Hoover for God sakes, they make vacuum cleaners in the states and not very good ones at that, why would I think their washing machine would be good????? I also brought a Hoover dryer that has been giving me problems around the same time I bought the washing machine....The ball bearing is going out of it and it would cost me more to fix it than to get another one. I might just get a dryer while I am at it, because any day now the dryer could go... Well there going my saving account I have been saving up since the first of the year. I was hoping to maybe go on some vacation this year....Well maybe it will all work out....I am going to be positive about this. Just a minor set back......

Happy Easter to everyone

It Will Be 2 Years March 19th

Well I can't believe the time has passed by so quick. I can not even imagine 5 years ago I would be saying that my daughter has been dead 2 years ago March 19th. I am typing this today because I know on March 19th I will not be in the mood for it. This past year I have become less angry over the death, I guess you would say I have gone beyond the anger portion of my grief process. I was blaming everyone even Khristy. I was mad at her for leaving me. It was my fault because I had let her down as a mother. Now I know that I did the best I could under the circumstances. As parents we all want what is best for our children, sometimes we fall short of it due to whatever reason. I could not have stopped her from doing drugs. She was a grown women and has been making decisions for a long time before she make the final one that ended her life.

This year I have had moments of joy went I think of her as a child and some of he things she use to do. I can remember when she started school and I had bought this sweater for her to wear, well she worn that sweater everyday and it was a hassle for me to get it off her to wash it, I even have a school pic with her wearing the sweater. She was my first child and I was 19 at the time of her birth. I was just a kid myself so you can say we grew up together. She had the prettiest long blond hair and I use to put it in french braids when she would let me, most of time it was a hassle just to comb it, After she got married she had cut her hair and really regretted doing so, I think she had grown it out after that, then cut it again because of bleaching it so much....I don't know what she looked at the time of her death. Whether she was letting her hair grow once more or not. I will have to ask Mom because she saw her the December before she died the following March. Anyway as I ramble on here. She and her brother would always get along and play together when they were young, but when they turned 12 it seemed like they just woke up and decided to start fighting. I told them one time I believed they dreamed of fighting in their sleep. Khristy was always a sweet and loving child and the hugs she use to give me I felt them in my soul. Even when she became a adult she hug me like that, just a very heart felt hug that I always knew she loved me no matter what was going on between us at the time. I sure do miss thoses hugs. I can look at her pics now and it doesn't hurt as bad. I don't think I am quite ready to have one out all the time, but at least I have got to the point that I can look at them without my soul being ripped apart.

I feel she is among me at times if I stop and listen I can hear her voice talking to me and telling me she is alright and in a better place now. Also telling me to stop what I am doing if I get very frustrated in what I am doing at the time. Kind of like watching over me. Maybe I have lost my mind thinking she is talking to me. But it brings a comfort to me and a sense of peace. It helps me cope. There is thousands of little moments I had with her and am proud to be her mother and happy I had her as long as I did. Sometimes I do have regrets, and wished I would have handled things differently, but I am sure all parents think that way whether their children are still with them or not. Khristy I miss you so very much, You will always be in my heart and when I get that warm feeling when I am thinking of you I know you are giving one of thoses hugs that I long for everyday.

The Visit Is Over

Peter's daughter Kelley, her husband Ron and their child Rachel graced our presence only for a short time. We enjoyed every minute of their visit only wished it would have been longer. I am still trying to get pics downloaded from mobile phone. Lucky Peter took pics with his digital camera so I will try today to download into the computer. Anyway we didn't really go anywhere special just stayed at home and enjoyed talking to them we had two long night sessions of up all night talking and drinking. LOL Well really one night with the drinking. While they were their Peter's other daughter and her boyfriend came to stay for a few days also, so we had a house full... We did all go to a Christening(which was the baby of Peter's son) that they had back in January. So all in all it was a busy time but a joyous time. They all left on a Sunday. It was Ron first trip to Ireland and meeting all of the Lawlor's which I am sure he was overwhelmed, but he took it for the gentleman he is, typical polite American. Peter ended up cooking which was a joy on my part. He has been watching this program on TV called master chief. Which is or should I say was because the program is off for the time being. Anyway about people throughout England in competition to become a superior chief the best one wins and goes on to become employed as a chief which wasn't really quite precise while watching the program where this person would be employed. So Peter was inspired by watching this and started making all these good dishes. This fruit dessert with carmel topping is to die for.....He has used Peaches or Pears so far for the fruit.

When family come for a visit then leave it kind of makes you depressed for a couple of days after they are gone. I find myself that way when I go visit people especially back in the USA. When my plane takes off of American soil I usually end up crying during take off. Even though you had a good visit, I try not to show emotion when I am saying good bye to everyone in person I wait until I get on the plane. If I cried every time I said good bye to people I would be crying all day long on my last day of visiting so I just try to store it all up until I get on the plane. It really takes a lot to hold back the tears when I say good bye to my Mom because I never know from one visit to the next whether I will see her again in this life time because she is getting up in age. So many moments of saying good bye......

The Living Dead

Being on night shift has reminded me of what my life use to be.....I was working mostly night shifts when I lived in the USA. Since I have moved to Ireland I been working day shift. The patients hae gotten heavier and I have back problems from it, so I have been filling in for night shift nurses for one reason or another. My back doesn't act up as much when I work night shift as I have noticed since I have been filling in for other nurses. A shift opened up on nights so I went ahead and took it.... Now everything is coming back to me about night shift.... I can't remember the days anymore for it seems like I go to work sleep and go to work so I am constantly forgetting the days... I hate it when that happens. I blame it on night shift and not me getting older...LOL The reason I call it the living dead because you feel that way sometimes, especially when your worked your shifts and your trying to get back to normal hours for the rest of the week. Like right now, I have finished my two twelve hour shifts and I can't go to sleep yet I can't do anything else either, so I just sit around like a zombie until sleep finally comes to me. If I had to carry on a conversation with someone I just don't think I could handle it. The drive home for me was enough. I remember one time I had the big idea of doing grocery shopping after getting off a 12 hour shift. I was wondering around the store didn't remember what the heck I was there for and think this was a bad idea, when my ex husband came up to me while I was looking at the eggs, we was married at the time and I had no idea he was going to be at the store, he just started laughing at me because I just looked so lost. I couldn't help but laugh at myself also because I was so sleep depraved I had no idea what I was laughing at,plus I was lost because I didn't need eggs anyway. Well it was funny at the time.or maybe I just thought it was funny at the time. I feel like that at this time standing staring at the eggs.

As I get older I find myself reflecting on things I have done in the past. Some of them good and some of them not so good. I was getting out pics this week to send to my son. He didn't have any pics of his childhood so after months I finally got it together to go through some of the pics to send to him. It brought back a lot of memories that I had forgotten about. I did have some good times in my life and lots of laughs. I think of I had to go through it again. I would not have gotten married so young and not have children. Don't get me wrong I love my children very much, but the worry and heart break you have with them at times it quite unbearable. You are a mother for the rest of your life that neers goes away and it gets harder as they get older and have a life of their own, because then you just have to stand by and see them make their own mistakes without trying to be a intruder in their life, and when you do finally get tired of holding it in and say something to them, you end up sticking your foot in your mouth and them not speaking to you because you said something they didn't want to hear.... Catch 22 you just can't win. LOL well that's enough for now I find myself getting the egg feeling really bad now...LOL

The Day After Valentine's

I guess we all survived Valentine's Day for another year. I, for one really don't get into the whole thing. I mean come on, one day for buying presents for the one you love....I guess it's really the pressure you have to buy something on this day makes me want to rebel against it. Peter and I show love throughout the year to one another so this day is like all the rest as for as I am concerned. I am happy just to be blessed to have Peter in my life, he might not be as romantic as I would like, what ever that might mean, but I know he loves me very much. That is enough for me. So all this being said he did arrive at home with some red tulips and a cadbury cream egg. LOL Now I have this whole romantic thing going through my head. Like what is romantic, how much is satisfying to me?? I think so far it is the little things that are done.Like cook me dinner or remember something I talked about a year ago opening the car dooor for me, letting me be the person I was meant to be and being supportive no matter whether I screw up every now and then. I don't think gifts come into play at all. I know there is a lot more I can think of , but for right now and if I want to get this posted sometimes this year I better cut this off here. LOL

I have changed to working night shift from now on. Day shift just got to hard on me, my back was really giving me a lot of trouble and some days I was eating the pain tablets I got from the Doctor to get rid of the pain from lifting the heavy patients. At night the patients are all in bed and just have to roll patients side to side to change their nappies(as they are called here). So far while working night shift I haven't had to take a pain pill. So I guess that is better, not that I like night shift. Before I moved here I worked night shift for 8 years and have to get use to working day shift. Now that I am use to working days and going back to nights is going to be tough for awhile. My sleep is completely screwed up at this point because I have been switching from days to nights. Now that I am on nights only I think my sleep will even out.

Well South Park is beginning to start and I need to wind this down....Be care out there

Slow, Slow, Slower

I bought one of those Nintendo lite DS after Christmas. Like I am not already addicted to computer games I have to get more game equipment. LOL Anyway got it off ebay and came with oer 400 games. I believe I have all the brain games up to date. So far my brain age is 56 and rated a C, seems I can't any higher than that at this time. The first time I played my brain age was 80(which 20 is the goal to get to) and my grade was a D- so I have came up, but it is a slow process and keeps getting slower as I play the games.

Speaking of brains.... A girl I work with named Anna she came to work here from Poland about 6 months ago. She had been getting headaches for the last 2 months. She had went to the doctor and they passed it off as migraine headaches and gave her medication which seem to take care of the pain until last week. She went to the hospital and they found out she had a brain tumor did surgery now she is hooked up to live support machines and they are waiting for her daughter to come in from Poland to unplug the life support. She is only 36 years old. We are all gutted about all of this. I don't know all the details of why in the world they didn't get a scan of the brain in the first place or why after brain surgery she is dying. It is so sad. Her daughter wanted to stay behind in Poland to finish up school before joining her parents in Ireland. That is as much as I could get from Anna because she didn't speak very good English. She was a very good worker and will be missed. I just feel very bad for the family and hope they will get through this ordeal with their spirit intact. I know how life can be with someone you love to die. Carrying on day to day living sometimes can be a big challenge. I just pray for that family that they will have peace in their minds.....

Time is passing so fast

Yes all the sudden I realized I haven't posted here for awhile, but didn't notice that it's been since the last of December. Now it's almost the last of January. WOW, I have been working night shifts for the last three weeks so I guess it kind of took me by suprise.LOL I begin on day shift this week so maybe things will go slower for me.

Looking forward to getting a visit from one of Peter's daughter that has moved to America pretty much the same time as I moved to Ireland. She hasn't been back to visit since she left, we did get to see her when we was back for my daughter's funeral about 2 years ago but she has had a baby since and we have never got to meet her husband. Will be very nice to see them all so looking forward to their visit. She will be here last of January and the first part of February. She said she would call when it got closer to the time to let us know when she was coming to our house, because she has more people to visit besides us.

We have our Jewelry on the Internet as of last of December, Looking forward to getting some customers. Our last time we went out to sell was in December and it was a big success. Not too much has happen since I last posted, but thought I better type something. LOL Just to keep this going.

It's raining here and has been for 2 weeks now. You get so tired of the rain all the time. I think it kind of makes you depressed when it rains so much, but on the good side it has warmed up a bit because of the rain. So you have to take the good with the bad. My dog Molly is sleeping on the couch as I am typing this, she is such a good dog and I love her don't know what I would do without her now that she is part of the family. I still haven't got any electric shears to cut her hair. I am afraid I will really mess her up bad if I get a hold of anything electric around her being just regular shears in my hand is dangerous. LOL But will get around to doing something one of these days.

I am waiting for my brother to send me some pics of my daughter and grand daughter so will post them here when I get them for him. So this is Breanna two years ago.

A New Year just around the corner

Christmas is over for another year. I must say it was a very quite one, and I did enjoy it that way. I had to work on Christmas day which wasn't too bad. By the time I got off I didn't want to talk to anybody(usually I call my relatives in the USA) I just went to bed not too long after I came in stayed up to talk to Peter for awhile and that was about it. Peter's daughter didn't show up until today. We thought she was suppose to come yesterday but her and her boyfriend went out partying in Limerick and stayed there for the night. We had put off Christmas dinner until Friday so said what the heck we'll just go ahead and fix it as planned. Which was really nice. Peter usually cooks the Christmas dinner each year with me helping with the veggies. He makes a wonderful pawn salad and homemade mushroom soup. We had pork roast for the meat and I made a apple cake for desert.

I did manage to call my mom and sister yesterday and I called my daughter today. I guess I should call my son sometimes before I go back to work. My sister and he her husband was drunk so we ended up talking for almost two hours about(who knows now) LOL My daughter was in a very talkative mood so we ended up talking about 2 hours also, it was nice just hearing their voices drunk or sober. LOL Oh my brother called me on Christmas so I didn't have to call him that is the first for him. I usually end up calling him first.

I find this year worse with missing my daughter that died. I can't believe it will be two years in March since she passed away. I am getting through this but some days or worse than others. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of her. She had a great laugh, I miss her hugs...Sometimes I think it would be wonderful if this was just a dream. One day at a time.

Merry Christmas to everyone

Santa has came to visit and left his head behind. OH MY!!!!!!!!

Happy Christmas every one. These are some of the pics I took around the the house of this years Christmas decorations. I chose to have a small tree because our living room is so small. The fireplace is always a cozy spot for those cold winter nights.

The next pics are of the work Christmas party. Some of the people I work with....

Breda, Mary and Bernadette.

A pic of the Irish coffee I was drinking. The first time I ever had it and loved it. So much that I have shopped to make my own at home. LOL We are planning on a quite Christmas at home. I have to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas. So after work I am going to relax by the fire and drink my Irish Coffee until I get comfortable numb....

Happy Christmas and New Year

Just Chilling on a Friday Night

Staying in with the fire going in the fireplace and watching T. V. with David Grey singing This years loving ,can't get no better than this. I have finally addressed some of my Christmas Cards for this year and my creeping Christmas is still creeping. To tell everyone the truth I am not enjoying this Christmas season this year. I don't know what it is I can't actually put my finger on what is wrong, but I feel like the Grinch this year. I just couldn't be bothered. I hope as time goes on I will be in a better mood. I guess it all comes down to it that I am a giving person and don't have much to give this year. I know it doesn't make any difference to people but it put me in a bind since I like to give.

I would like to reflect about the past year since the fire is lit and I feel so cozy. The jewelry business we started this year was a good idea and I think it is going to get bigger as we go along and once we get it on the web I think it will be better than we could imagine. I ended up getting a raise at my job before the first of the year as previously thought. I have filed for my Irish Citizenship. I did fail my driver test, but I have good news on that. I had to get a driver instructor to take some lesson from because I thought to get rid of some bad habits that I have learned in the past... Anyway the driving instructor was the son of one of the nurses I work with, well he is now training to be a driving tester so he will test us. His mother and me(since we both failed) LOL I will wait to sign up in order to see where he will be working as a driver tester. In Ireland you can test in any town that is on the list whether you live in that district or not. My dog that I got a year ago September is a joy to me and become a part of the family. I have become a computer game addict but we want go into that at this time. LOL I found out that I hae a tumor in my ear and am follow up on that, I find as I get older I can't do the things I use to do when I was in my thirties or forties for that matter I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. There is some things I don't want to do that I use to do. I am still grieving over the death of my daughter and will always, but am getting on with my life. I don't want to be the kind of person to let her death just ruin my entire life. I don't know if that is selfish or not, but I have seen people that just can't get pass the grieving stage and get on with their life. Of course I think of Khristy every day but I can't let it get me down. I have to go on and not give up. There is more I am sure I have done this year to reflect on but just can't think of them at this time. Since I am talking about reflections I thought the pic is appropriate me seeing a reflection of me in the mirror. Peter took the pic several years ago I think it was on his first visit to see me in 2001.

Creeping Christmas

I do this every year. I start after Thanksgiving or the first of December gradually added Christmas decorations. So we started calling it creeping Christmas. I have to rearrange things in the sitting room to make room for the decorations because our sitting room is so small we can't have my regular stuff along with Christmas decorations all in the same room at the same time. Each day I add a new Christmas item(which has been stashed in a trunk. waiting for the creeping Christmas) and take away a item I had in the room to make way for the Christmas item....Sounds very complicated???? Well sometimes have fum with this and sometimes its just a complete hassle depending on my mood. LOL So officially creeping Christmas has arrived.

We had another jewelry party at this person house Friday and it was a big hit. Still haven't made enough money on the business this Christmas season. We are going to a craft fair located in the village where I had the party Friday. That will be December 16. Our Christmas Party at work is going to on the 14 this time we are going to have dinner at a pub and music afterwards which I think will be a lot better than just having a meal in a restaurant like we did last year. So that well will be busy. Speaking of busy Peter has been trying to set up a web site for our jewelry. I couldn't begin to know what in the world he is doing. We do get together every now and then look over the front page just to see what we want on it to make it customer friendly. It will be awhile before we can add the finished web site. We are setting up to take paypal as a source of payment, I have rejoined Yahoo chat to scan the rooms to see how many Irish people actually are there. LOL Just sort of a survey. When we do get the web site up and working I will send to everyone on my email list. Right now we want to focus on the Irish market and Irish people living abroad to send their relatives that lives in Ireland presents of Jewelry and maybe expand as we go along. Another goal I have for the coming year is opening up a shop in our house. So looks like we are going to be busy next year.

Peter is now looking for a regular job, he has been working as a handyman, doing home improvements. He was a engineer before that, so that's what I mean by saying a regular job. When I moved here he had just quit the job he was doing because they had moved to another city and it would have been too long for him for him to drive. So he started into the home improvement. I used to go on jobs with him at times until I got too tired going to my job and helping him out. Which was a bummer because I really enjoyed us working together. That's the way it goes when you have to have money to pay bills. Anyway the home improvement has decreased this year as the housing industry also, so that's the reason for Peter looking for another job. He should know this Monday whether he has this job that is close by.

I sent everybody in my email list to a site that I had sign into awhile ago. A memorial site for my deceased daughter. Well it cost money to continue the site so I didn't bother doing anything to it or even sending it on, well this week I got a email that they would open up the site for me again for a month only, for free. So that's the reason for the email to everyone. Please go visit the site and light a candle it would mean a lot to me. The pic is of me in 2001 in Louisille, Kentucky. I was taking Peter to the airport for him to go back to Ireland. This is the first time I met Peter in person.

Farmers Friday

All the farmers in Tipperary get together and bring their live stock into town to sell, so we started calling all Friday's Farmers Friday. So on this day I did nothing. My sinuses have been bothering me the last two days and I have not felt much like doing anything. We did manage to have a jewelry party Wednesday night. It was all Polish people and most didn't speak English, the guy that wanted to give it in his house says he was busy at work this week and ends up they we calling people to come view the jewelry as we was setting it up. Everyone was nice, it was just different. We didn't get as much sells as we usually get but he said he would have another one. So that leaves next week then two more parties booked after that, I need to call people but can't get the energy to talk on the phone. Tomorrow going to try to hand out fliers in town to get the word out. Hopefully I will be fit to do that or least go to the store and get some food , Peter might do that while I am getting groceries.

I am off again this week then going back to work the following Monday, I am enjoying my time off but it is making me lazy. Today I didn't get up until 3pm.... That's just not right.... I have been meaning to do so many things and when you don't wake until the day is almost over its hard to get them done. with my sinuses acting up makes me twice as lazy. So I end up playing computer games all day. I am very addicted to them and end up not getting anything done. I act like I am retired already and don' t need the money anymore. LOL
The pic is of the dart in Dublin.

More NIght Shifts

I have worked 3 night shifts one week and another two the next week. So needless to say I hae been oit of touch with what is going on in my life...LOL This is the second night off and beginning to get back into days and getting my life back. I took two weeks off in order to get my jewelry sells up and more booking for home showings. So far I have two parties books, one women (that had a party back in the summer) is going to get back with me. We are also going to book three more nights in Pubs. Maybe more, We'll just have to see how it goes... The first of the year we will be busy trying to get the room downstairs ready for a jewelry shop room. Right now its a bird room. So we have a lot of work that has to be done. Don't expect too much sells on January because usually after Christmas no one has any money to spend.

I feel like my bladder or uterus is falling down a bit. I haven't checked it out so far but feel this pressure. Don't know why I put that in this blog but am feeling the pressure as I am typing so decide to add it. LOL I guess I could get a mirror and try to bend and look at myself but getting older and I don't if my body can bend and stretch as it use to do. So it might have to up to Peter to check and see before I make a appointment to the doctor. He is thrilled. LOL I don't have a gynecologist here in Ireland because I have never really needed one.... Well today is a different day than when I started typing this so all is well with the bladder thing because I don't feel the pressure anymore. It might be from lifting heavy patients. Seems like the older I get the more energy it takes to lift those patients. I men we are talking about 200 plus for some of this patients and they can;t do a thing for themselves,so no wonder things in my body wants to go south...Well thats my story and I'm sticking with it. LOL

I am going to hae to wash Molly this week she is getting so dirty. I don' t think she likes it going to long without a bath, she looks so pitiful at times. Might be my imagination... I think I hae ran out of thigs to say so will close. A pic of me when we visited Peter's Mom in Dublin 2005. Don't ask what I was doing. I take the worse pics.....

Nellie's Bar Jewelry Showing

Not as much people this time as we had in Heney's, more return customers than new ones. I don't think word of mouth has gotten around as much as we thought it had. Wasn't a complete loss we did some sells(haven't added the money as of yet) We have come up with new idea's for the future and I am just going to have to have more home showings. So its back to calling people and seeing if they will commit to having it in their homes.

As far as my work goes as a nurse, I have talked over the situation at work, and she is suppose to be working it out. We will see when I get back on Monday how much was able to be worked out in that length of time. I also get a raise in Jan. 2008, I thought I would go ahead and wait until then instead of demanding it now because it is more than what I was going to ask for and what is a few more months???? So we will see, Of course I didn't get everything I ask for but hopefully conditions will change for the best. I was pretty much last Tuesday at my wits end and was really ready to quit just right on the spot. Talked it out and come up with a plan, she(my boss) even came back that night to try to get some of the problems straighten out.

I got some pics last night I took them with my cell phone and they didn't look like they came out as good as taking with a digital camera. I haven't downloaded them into the computer. So I might put them up or not. Right now I am waiting for the washer repair man to come and take a look at my washer. It is tripping the main electric switch in the house when I turn it on. So hopefully he can fix it and I don;t have to end up having to get another washing machine.

Pics of jewerly at Heney's Pub

Our first customer, we didn't take any pics of all the people that showed up, it looks rather empty in all the pics. LOL but we had at least 40 people to show up and brought in about 650.00 in sells. Great night. Another party for tonight in Nellie's pub. I will bring my cell phone and take more pics.
A pic of Louise wearing necklace and matching earrings, a bracelet and ring that we sell.

This is Louise that modeled our jewelry that night, she is wearing a necklace and earrings we sell. Louise is a daughter of one of our friends and was one of the candidates for Queen of the Galtee's that we have every year at the Bansha festival in August.

This is the center of the table, there I am again.....lol

This is the layout of the table at one end. Of course yours truly cheesing it up for the camera.LOL I am wearing a necklace and matching earring set we sell. You can't see the earrings because of my hair.

Just one of those days

YESTERDAY WAS JUST A BUMMER FOR ME. FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON, I FELT VERY DOWN AND WAS HAVING A PITY PARTY. I JUST DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY MY LIFE WAS PROGRESSING AND THE MORE I THOUGHT ABOUT IT THE WORSE I GOT. PETER REALLY TRIED TO GET ME OUT OF THIS BUT I JUST WOULDN'T HEAR OF ANY CHEER ME UP THINGS. I KNOW I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS GOING AND ITS GOING TO TAKE TIME TO GET THE JEWELRY BUSINESS OFF THE GROUND, EVEN THOUGH IT IS DOING BETTER THAN I HAVE EXPECTED.....

I JUST GOT OFF 2 (12 HOUR SHIFTS) THINGS AT WORK AS A NURSE AREN'T GOING VERY WELL AT ALL. I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. EITHER TALK TO THE MATRON TO GET SOME OF THE THINGS FIXED OR GET ANOTHER JOB. I HATE TO CHANGE JOBS AT THIS TIME BUT I FEEL DREAD WHEN I GO INTO WORK ANYMORE. THAT'S A SIGN FOR ME THAT IT IS TIME TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I HAVEN'T HAD A RAISE IN 3 YEARS. THE OWNER IS VERY CHEAP AND SHE TRIES TO GET BY WITH A LOT. MAINLY NOT GIVING US A RAISE. I AM GOING TO BE ASKING THINGS FOR MYSELF BECAUSE THAT'S THE WAY THEY LIKE IT GO TO THEM INDIVIDUALLY. I HAVE WORKED MY ASS OFF FOR THESE PEOPLE AND ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MORE MONEY. CUT BACKS WHEN WE ARE DOWN ON PATIENTS THEN TAKE OFF TO NEW YORK CITY FOR VACATION. WE ARE ALL SUFFERING AND THEY ARE THE ONES GETTING THE MONEY OFF OUR MISERY, I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE LIKE THEM. OH I AM NOT SAYING THEY ARE BAD PEOPLE BUT THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS, THEY ARE CONCERN PEOPLE(TALKING ABOUT HE OWNER AND HER HUSBAND WHEN I SAY PEOPLE OR THEY) BUT WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY THEY LIKE IT TOO MUCH... SO I HAVE TO MAKE A CHANGE AND I HATE TO PUT IT TO THEM THIS WAY BUT IF SOME OF THE CHANGES DON'T HAPPEN I WILL HAVE TO GO FOR ANOTHER JOB.

SO I GUESS WITH ALL THIS BEING ON MY MIND, I GOT INTO A VERY BAD MOOD YESTERDAY AND COULDN'T GET MY HEAD AROUND IT. I HATE BEING PUT IN A CORNER. THAT'S WHAT I FEEL LIKE I AM BEING IN A CORNER WITH A DECISION TO FIGHT. I GUESS I WILL HAVE A TALK WITH HER ON MONDAY IF I CAN GET SOME TIME TO DO IT. I AM GETTING OLDER AND JUST CAN'T DO THE THINGS I USE TO WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. WE HAVE SOME HEAVY PATIENTS AND REALLY NEED MORE PEOPLE TO HELP WITH THESE BIG PEOPLE. WE HAVE LIFTS TO GE THEM OUT OF BED BUT IT GETTING THEM PULLED UP WHILE THEY ARE IN BED. WHEN I DO HAVE SOMEONE WITH ME SOME OF THEM JUST AREN'T GOOD LIFTERS THAT LEAVES ALL THE WORK UP TO ME AND MY BACK CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. SO IF SHE CAN'T GET GOOD LIFTERS SHE NEEDS TO HAVE THREE PEOPLE FOR THE SHIFT I WORK. MY BACK IS STILL NOT RIGHT SINCE I HAVE INJURED IT BACK IN JAN. OF THIS YEAR, IT GOES INTO SPASMS EVERY NOW AND THEN STILL GETS SORE WHEN I HAVE WORKED JUST ONE DAY. I WEAR A BACK SUPPORT(THAT I BOUGHT MYSELF) BUT STILL HAVE SPASMS. THEN WE HAVE TWO MENTAL PATIENTS THAT ARE DRIVING ME MENTAL. LOL AND BELIEVE ME I DON'T HAVE TO FAR TO GO. SO ITS A RAISE AND MORE PEOPLE TO WORK SO WE CAN TAKE CARE OF THE PATIENTS WE HAVE PROPERLY. THAT'S REALLY NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR, BUT FOR PEOPLE THAT LIKE THEIR MONEY I THINK IT'S GOING TO BE A PROBLEM. SO THAT'S THE DILEMMA I AM IN AT THE MOMENT AND IT IS MAKING ME IN A BAD MOOD FOR SOME REASON. I HATE IT WHEN I GET IN THESE MOODS.

PETER WOKE UP DOWN THIS MORNING AND I WAS IN A SOME WHAT BETTER MOOD, SO HE JUST STAYED AWAY FROM ME, SO WE WILL BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT TOMORROW WHICH THAT'S THE WAY IT IS WITH US. WHEN HE WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ME IN A BETTER MOOD HIS MOOD CHANGED, THAT'S THE WAY I AM ALSO, SO WHEN WE BOTH GET OUT OF OUR MOODS THEN WE ARE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT. STRANGE BUT WE ARE CONNECTED SO EMOTIONAL TO ONE ANOTHER THAT ONE'S MOOD EFFECT ANOTHER IN A WAY THAT WE GET INTO A BAD MOOD ONCE THE ANOTHER ONE IS IN ONE, IF WE CAN'T GET THE OTHER PERSON OUT OF IT.

I REALLY HAVE TO GET THE PICS FROM MY PARTY AT THE PUB DOWNLOADED. WE HAVE ANOTHER PARTY ARRANGED FOR THIS COMING THURSDAY IN ANOTHER PUB IN THE VILLAGE CALLED NELLIE'S BAR. ITS RIGHT NEXT TO HENEY'S (WHERE WE HAD OUR PARTY LAST WEEK) WE REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE HER OUT, BECAUSE SHE HAS REALLY BEEN VERY NICE TO ME SINCE I HAVE MOVED HERE. MOST OF THE PUBS WERE WE HAVE PARTIES DON'T CHARGE FOR THE ROOMS BECAUSE THEY FIGURE IT WILL BRING BUSINESS TO THE PUB....WELL PARTY ON GARTH.....LOL

Great Night

Well the pub night went very well. The word got around and we had over 40 people to show up. all of then bought stuff. I was very surprised at the turn out. Even had some friends that I haven't seen in about two years to come. Everyone loved the jewelry so we are planning on having another one in the pub in about two weeks time..

We had posters out in town but it was most of the village in Bansha that showed up. I was very impressed. I love to sell jewelry because people are so happy to buy something that makes them feel good and I like being apart of that. This was the first night that Peter was actually part of it up front. Usually he is behind the scene, ordered stock, making up catalog, making jewelry displays. He rather got a buzz off it himself being there tonight and helping out. I will have pics to follow. Some of the people didn't come that we thought would, but that's usually the way it works. We are going to be busy this week restocking and getting ready for out next showing. I am so glad that the business is going so well. We had about 700.00 in sales tonight, for 2 hours work. Not bad at all.

On another note I got a package from my dear mom back in Kentucky she sent me a belated birthday present. Which was a birthstone ring and my sister sent me earrings to match. Plus some other bits and pieces. I called her to thank her for all the stuff. We had a laugh because she had stuck some dental floss in the box she sent me. I told her when I was talking to her and trying to go over the stuff that was in the box, that they sell dental floss here in Ireland... She has false teeth and don't use dental floss so she said she had gotten the floss when they played bingo. Usually she said they bring something from home so people can win so she had won at bingo and that was in some of the stuff she won, she thought that since I had all my normal teeth that she would just send the floss to me...Makes sense since she explained it to me but when I got the box I saw the dental floss in it I just had to laugh. I ask her why didn't they use money in bingo and she told me that would be more like gambling....LOL MY mom you gotta love her.

I think I will call it a night. I think I have had all the excitement I can take for one night. I started reading Stephen King's Gunslinger series. I had read one book along time ago and I am sure once I get to that book I will say I have read that before. LOL But Like I say it's been along time ago and I have forgotten which one it was. I use to read his novels all the time, and when he got hit by a car and was recovering he didn't write very much. I thought I had heard on the news that he had retired, but I think he started writing again. He had finished up the gunslinger series anyway. I have read most of his other books . You either like his work or you don't and I just happen to like his work...I can't even remember the books that I have read throughout the years. I get into these reading moods and I can read a book a night(if stay up all night reading) then I get out of the mood and it might take six months or more before I get in the mood again.

Be careful out there.
