A New Year just around the corner

Christmas is over for another year. I must say it was a very quite one, and I did enjoy it that way. I had to work on Christmas day which wasn't too bad. By the time I got off I didn't want to talk to anybody(usually I call my relatives in the USA) I just went to bed not too long after I came in stayed up to talk to Peter for awhile and that was about it. Peter's daughter didn't show up until today. We thought she was suppose to come yesterday but her and her boyfriend went out partying in Limerick and stayed there for the night. We had put off Christmas dinner until Friday so said what the heck we'll just go ahead and fix it as planned. Which was really nice. Peter usually cooks the Christmas dinner each year with me helping with the veggies. He makes a wonderful pawn salad and homemade mushroom soup. We had pork roast for the meat and I made a apple cake for desert.

I did manage to call my mom and sister yesterday and I called my daughter today. I guess I should call my son sometimes before I go back to work. My sister and he her husband was drunk so we ended up talking for almost two hours about(who knows now) LOL My daughter was in a very talkative mood so we ended up talking about 2 hours also, it was nice just hearing their voices drunk or sober. LOL Oh my brother called me on Christmas so I didn't have to call him that is the first for him. I usually end up calling him first.

I find this year worse with missing my daughter that died. I can't believe it will be two years in March since she passed away. I am getting through this but some days or worse than others. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of her. She had a great laugh, I miss her hugs...Sometimes I think it would be wonderful if this was just a dream. One day at a time.
